Privacy Policy – WiFi Speaker

1) Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how WiFi Speaker (“the App”) handles information when you use it. The App is a utility tool that helps you use your Android phone as a wireless speaker for your PC over the same Wi‑Fi network (local network streaming).

The App does not require registration and does not require you to sign in.

2) Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

We do not require you to provide personal information (such as name, phone number, or address) to use the App.

2.2 Information processed on your device / local network

To enable connection between your PC and phone, the App may display your phone’s local IP address (for example, 192.168.x.x). This information is used only to establish a connection on your local Wi‑Fi network. We do not upload your local IP address or your audio stream to our servers.

2.3 Advertising data (if ads are enabled)

If the App displays ads, we may use Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect certain information to provide, measure, and improve advertising, such as:

• Advertising ID (or similar device identifiers)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address, depending on Google settings and region)
• Device information (model, OS version, language, app version)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, diagnostics)

This information is handled by Google under Google’s privacy policy.

3) How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the App features (local connection and audio playback)

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): This permission is used to show an ongoing notification for connection/audio streaming status (foreground service). We do not use notifications for marketing, spam, or promotional messages. You can disable notifications anytime from your device settings.

The App may request the following permissions depending on Android version and features:

• Internet / Network access: to communicate with your PC over the local network
• Access network state / Wi‑Fi state: to detect network connectivity
• Foreground service (media playback): to keep audio playing reliably when the App is in background

6) Data Retention

We do not store your personal information on our servers because the App does not require accounts and does not upload your local audio stream. Advertising-related data (if ads are enabled) may be retained by Google as described in their policies.

7) Security

Core audio streaming occurs on your local Wi‑Fi network. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use the App on networks you trust.

8) Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

9) Your Choices

• You can stop all information processing by uninstalling the App.
• If ads are enabled, you may be able to limit ad personalization in Android/Google ad settings.

The App or its support pages may include links to third‑party websites (for example, Google services). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties.
